Why is Reading important?

Strong reading skills help you understand textbooks, articles, reports, instructions and professional documents. They are especially important when studying or working in an English-speaking environment.

Effective command despite some inaccuracies and misunderstandings.

Modest

Partial command; handles overall meaning but makes many mistakes.

Limited

Basic competence is limited mainly to familiar situations.

Extremely Limited

Understands and conveys general meaning only in very familiar situations.

HOW THE OVERALL BAND IS CALCULATED

Listening + Reading + Writing + Speaking

The four individual section band scores are averaged and rounded according to IELTS band-score rules.

28 ÷ 4 = Band 7.0
